Supervisor Boitano was born on June 6,1953 in Jackson, California. He is a lifelong and fourth generation resident of Amador County. He graduated from Amador High School in 1972 and attended Sacramento City College, majoring in Industrial Technology. He served on the Sutter Creek City Council from 1987-1990 and on the Sutter Creek Fire Protection District from 1990-1993. He is married and has two children.
Supervisor Boitano was elected to the following terms on the Board of Supervisors: 1993-1996; 1997-2000; 2001-2004, 2005-2008 and 2009-2012.
